Each Piercing is individually unique and takes time and proper aftercare to heal, this page is meant to be a general guide to types of piercings, aftercare, and troubleshooting.

Choosing the Perfect Piercing: What to Consider

Selecting the right piercing involves several important factors. Here are a few key considerations:

Lifestyle: Think about your daily habits. For example, which side do you sleep on? Will you be swimming in foreign bodies of water or spending time in the sun, which could lead to sunburn? These factors can affect your piercing's healing process.
Time Commitment: Piercings require time to heal, with some taking longer than others. You'll need to follow specific aftercare instructions, which may include regular cleaning and possibly downsizing jewelry. Are you ready to make this commitment to ensure proper healing?
Personal Style vs. Anatomy: Piercings are a great way to express individuality through placement and jewelry style. However, it's important to recognize that not every anatomy supports every type of piercing, and not all jewelry is suitable for every piercing. Consulting with a professional piercer is the best way to determine what will work best for you.

Piercing process

When you step into Piercing Perfection, you'll be greeted by our friendly staff, ready to assist you with all your piercing needs and questions.

We are a walk-in-based studio with professional piercers available 7 days a week. Please note that wait times may vary depending on foot traffic, but the entire process typically takes between 30-40 minutes. Here lists typical elements up to getting your piercing.

Consultation and Jewelry Selection

After deciding on the piercing you desire, our counter staff will help you choose the perfect piece of jewelry that suits your style and anatomy. Some piercings are more dependent on anatomy than others, so one of our piercers may need to examine the area to ensure it’s suitable for a successful and healthy healing process.

Indenification

Our staff will verify your identification. For adults, this includes a physical Driver’s License, Passport, or State ID. For minors, a parent or legal guardian’s ID (as listed above) along with the minor’s physical birth certificate or legal guardianship paperwork is required to confirm age and relationship.

Checkout

Afterward, our staff will process your payment for the piercing and jewelry. You may also choose to purchase our saline solution for aftercare at this time or later. If you wish, you have the option to tip your piercer either during checkout or afterward in cash as a way to express your appreciation. However, this is entirely at your discretion.

Paperwork

While your jewelry is being sterilized, we’ll have you complete some paperwork (please refer to the Paperwork tab for details). This helps us keep track of our clients and identify any factors that may affect your piercing procedure and aftercare. Once you’ve completed the paperwork and handed it to our staff, we’ll let you know your expected wait time. During this time, you’re welcome to relax on our couches, take a restroom break, or even step out for a short walk if we're particularly busy. We’ll call you as soon as we’re ready to begin.

Piercing Time!

Once your jewelry has been fully sterilized and the paperwork is complete, our piercer will guide you to the piercing room. We will begin by disinfecting the area to be pierced, carefully marking the placement, and checking in with you to ensure you're happy with the positioning. Our piercer will then walk you through each step of the process before performing the piercing with a single-use, hollow needle. Afterward, we will clean the area and provide you with any necessary aftercare instructions before you leave.

Our piercers are also trained to handle any issues that may arise during your visit. If you start to feel faint or nauseous, we have water and sugary options on hand to help you feel more comfortable. Your safety and comfort are always our top priorities.
